Blackfoot - Marauder

Suggested by Marmaduke - Pure southern rock muscle from Florida’s finest. While Skynyrd ruled the radio, Blackfoot was perfecting that sweet spot between hard rock power and southern storytelling. “Marauder” proves they belonged in the conversation all along.

Motörhead - Ace of Spades

Suggested by Gavin Reid - How have we dodged Lemmy this long? The chainsaw pig logo, the “everything louder” philosophy, and quite possibly the perfect band name in rock history. This influenced everything that came after.

Testament - The New Order

Suggested by Patrick Testa - Bay Area thrash perfection from Metallica’s often-overlooked neighbors. Chuck Billy’s vocals hit every range imaginable, Alex Skolnick’s guitar work rivals the legends, and the whole thing cuts like a freshly sharpened blade. This might be their best work, period.
