Chris Shiflett - Lost At Sea
Chris Shiflett, known as the guitarist for Foo Fighters, released his solo album "Lost At Sea" on October 20, 2023, through Blue Élan Records. This 10-track album, produced in Nashville by Jaren Johnston, showcases a meld of punk and country vibes, embodying a blend of Southern California inspiration executed with a Nashville country-rock flair. Notable musicians like Tom Bukovac and Dierks Bentley guitarist Charlie Worsham collaborated on this project, along with artists like Cody Jinks and Kendell Marvel contributing to the songwriting process. "Lost At Sea" carries forward the honky-tonk and overdriven crunch styles from his previous albums "West Coast Town" (2017) and "Hard Lessons" (2019), offering a mix of geographical and genre influences.
Emma Anderson - Pearlies
Emma Anderson, a co-founder of the band Lush, unveiled her debut solo album "Pearlies". Produced by James Chapman, also known as Maps, "Pearlies" marks a new chapter in Anderson's musical journey, presenting a collection that melds effervescent electronic pop with psych and folk textures. This compilation brings together 16 tracks, termed as "perfectly formed pop nuggets," with a total runtime of just under 35 minutes. It includes eleven previously unreleased BBC session recordings and all five songs from the band's first two singles under Creation Records. These recordings date back to the period between 1985 and 1986, showcasing the band's raw energy and potential during their formative years. This collection offers a unique glimpse into Primal Scream's evolution, as it precedes their first studio album, "Sonic Flower Groove" released in 1987. The physical release of "Reverberations (Travelling In Time)" is accompanied by a printed inner sleeve and an 8-page booklet featuring essays by Bob Stanley, Jim Beattie, and Bobby Gillespie, along with 28-period photographs of the band, making it a rich nostalgic journey for fans. Lynch Mob - Babylon
Formed in 1989 by ex-Dokken guitarist George Lynch, Lynch Mob released their eighth studio album "Babylon" with a lineup featuring vocalist Gabriel Colón, bassist Jaron Gulino (Tantric, Heavens Edge), and drummer Jimmy D’Anda (ex-Bulletboys). This release marked their first album since "The Brotherhood" in 2017, showcasing a blend of the band's classic hard rock sound with new material. The album was promoted with a music video for the first single, "Time After Time." Over the years, despite several lineup changes, George Lynch's signature guitar work has remained the cornerstone of Lynch Mob's sound, with "Babylon" being a continuation of this legacy.
