Empire State Bastard - Rivers Of Heresy
Empire State Bastard, the riveting collaboration between Biffy Clyro's frontman Simon Neil and former Oceansize musician Mike Vennart, has just released their debut album "Rivers Of Heresy," which boasts drumming by the iconic Dave Lombardo, known for his contributions to Slayer, Testament, and Dead Cross. Launched on September 1, this album, described as "pure sonic annihilation," is a testament to the duo's intent to create profoundly intense music. Vennart has described the project as the most "poisonous vile music" he could conceive, while Neil's lyrics delve into deep misanthropy and nihilism. Following their introductory single "Harvest" earlier this year, the album is now available in various formats, including digital, CD, and vinyl.

Milk - Tantrum
The lone full-length by UK band Milk is an attack of dissonant guitars and frantic rhythms that recall early grunge and Chicago noise rock
We don't think of many bands coming out of the UK in the early nineties that could fit nicely on a bill with The Jesus Lizard or Mudhoney, but the 1991 album Tantrum by UK band Milk makes the case that noise rock wasn't just an American phenomenon coming out of hardcore. Frenetic rhythms and dissonant guitars shine on the record, covering for a solid but unremarkable vocal performance. The band is at its best when the volume and intensity quickly shift into quasi-blues riffs and thrash metal shredding via Neil Young. Special guests: Jeremy Amend - DMO UNION
